About

Enea Mendilahatxu

Born in the heart of the Basque country, between mountains and ocean, she has always felt a deep and instinctive connection with nature, and more particularly with the marine world. Now settled on the wild coast of Australia, she continues to explore the shores of life, between science, observation and wonder. Currently studying in marine biology, Enea has chosen to combine scientific rigor with intuitive curiosity. She's as interested in the complex phenomena of ecosystems as she is in the human stories that emerge from the water's edge - those of the fishermen, scientists, activists and dreamers who live in direct contact with the ocean.

Mission

Through Ocean Echoes, she shares her encounters, discoveries and reflections, with a clear mission: to make marine biology accessible to everyone, beyond laboratories and scientific articles. The podcast thus becomes a space for transmission and awareness-raising, but also for poetry and contemplation.

Vision

Enea believes in science told with emotion. Science that inspires, questions and touches. She hopes that each episode will contribute, in its own way, to awakening collective awareness of the beauty, complexity and fragility of our oceans.

Because by listening more closely to the echoes of the sea, we can also learn to better inhabit the Earth.
